How to change the opacity?

What is an Opacity?

The opacity refers to the amount of transparency of a layer. So, if the opacity is at 100% the layer is completely opaque.

Whereas if the opacity is at 0% the layer will be transparent, which will mean you can see the layer below.

How to change the Opacity?

You can change the opacity simply by moving the slider to right or left which is shown in that below picture.

If you want to increase the Opacity then you should move that slider to the right and if you want to decrease the Opacity of the layer then move to left and vice versa.

Example to show the Opacity of an image

The image shown below is at the opacity of 100% which is the default value.

The image shown below is at the opacity of 75% ,as you can see the image look transparent.

Blur Focus

In this tutorial , you will learn to create a blur effect in the picture by using Photoshop.
1.You will need to use the gaussian blur for this effect.
2.First , select your sample picture, that i used horse picture to show this effect.
3.After this tutorial you know how to create a blur effect on the picture.

Blur Effect:

Step 1

Open an image, for which you are going to add this blur effect

Run Photoshop->Files->Open and select you image.

I used that above image for adding blur effect.

Step 2

Make a selection around the area you wish to add a blur focus to that image.
You can select the area with the help of Lasso Tool or Magnetic Lasso Tool from the Tool Box
You can see the toolbox from your left side of your Photoshop window.

Then you can either use polygon lasso tool or magnetic lasso tool to create a selection on that particular area.

Step 3

Inverse the selection of your image Right Click on that Image->Select Inverse from the second option from the list. The image should look like the below image.

Step 4
Select Filter menu from the above menu bar. Then select Blur effect ,from that choose gaussian blur .
Filter->Blur->Gaussian Blur.
Then add 4 to 5 pixel radius depends on the seize of your image.
